March 12, 2015 | Cimagine Media announced that it will implement its augmented reality and visualization services with ShopDirect, the fourth largest retailer in the UK. Cimagine will provide its augmented reality solutions for ecommerce to ShopDirect’s digital department store brands like Very.co.uk and Littlewoods.com. Report: enSilo Raises $2-3M In Seed Funding
March 11, 2015 | The Israeli cyber security startup enSilo announced that it raised $2-3 million in seed funding, according to a “Geektime” report. enSilo reportedly raised the funds from Carmel Ventures. enSilo’s cyber security mechanisms work on tackling attackers and hackers once their are already in the system, making sure to firewall and block information so they cannot access it. enSilo was founded in 2014 and is headed by CEO Roy Katmor.

INPLAY Raises $1.5M, Partners With Chelsea FC
March 11, 2015 | The Israeli application INPLAY, a WhatsApp for soccer fans, announced that it raised $1.5 million following a partnership with notable football club Chelsea FC. INPLAY secured the funds from private angel investors. The app has partnered with Chelsea FC to help fans engage with each other, the club and the players. In accordance with the deal, some of Chelsea’s most notable players, namely Cesar Azpilicueta, will actively promote the application as part of the institutions’ agreement to cooperate on marketing and the production of branded goods. INPLAY was founded in 2013 by CEO and co-founder Meni Michaeli and Daniel Kashti.

EZbob To Sign Cooperation Agreement With Alibaba
March 11, 2015 | According to a “Calcalist” report, the Israeli-UK company EZbob will partner with the Chinese ecommerce giant Alibaba. According to the report, the Israeli CEO of EZbob Tomer Guriel values the partnership at tens of millions of pounds. EZbob has developed an online lending platform for SMEs, backed by the UK government and the European Union. EZbob was founded in 2011 by Tomer Guriel and Sharon Perlstein and is headquartered in London, England.

Cellect BioTech To Cooperate With Entegris
March 11, 2015 | The Israeli company Cellect Biotechnology announced that it was negotiating a strategic cooperation agreement with Entegris, a US company specializing in advanced plastic devices. Cellect partnered with Entegris on the development of a medical kit and, following positive feasibility tests, the companies are looking towards a binding cooperation agreement. “The purpose of the agreement is to enable Cellect to invest its resources in a breakthrough already at the current stage, while focusing on its core business – development of technology, because production will be carried out by a high-quality supplier like Entegris,” said Cellect CEO Shai Yarkoni. Cellect was founded in 2011 by Dr. Shai Yarkoni and Dr. Nadir Askenasy.

Imperva To Issue $140M Secondary Offering
March 11, 2015 | The Israeli cyber security company Imperva has filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission to raise up to $140 million in a secondary offering. Imperva will reportedly issue 3 million shares to be sold in the secondary offering. The company’s IPO was issued in November 2011 at $18 per share. Imperva is a provider of cyber security solutions for businesses’ critical data applications. Imperva was founded in 2002 by Mickey Boodaei and Shlomo Kramer.

Check Point Releases Malware Detection Solution
March 11, 2015 | The Israeli Internet and information security company Check Point Software announced that it will release a new solution to combat the risks of malware called Threat Extraction. Check Point’s solution detects elements that are likely to be used by malware sources, extracting and reconstructing the documents in accordance. Check Point was founded in 1993 in Tel Aviv by Shlomo Kramer.

Yallo Raises $4M In Series A Funding
March 11, 2015 | The Israeli startup Yallo closed a $4 million Series A round. The investment round was led by Carmel Ventures and as part of the deal, Carmel Venture’s co-founder Shlomo Dovrat, will join Yallo’s board of directors. Yallo’s platform hopes to revolutionize cell phone call capabilities as we know them with a number of new features that will allow users to record calls, minimize the use of minutes, and transcribe voice mails, among other functions. Yallo was founded in 2012 by CEO Tal Elyashiv and CTO Yosi Taguri.

OurCrowd To Open Toronto Office
March 11, 2015 | The equity crowdfunding platform OurCrowd announced that it will open an office in Toronto, Canada by the end of the year. Jonathan Medved, OurCrowd’s founder and CEO announced the news at the Canadian Crowdfunding Summit last week. Medved also indicated that OurCrowd would also consider expanding to the Canadian cities of Montreal and Vancouver, though the initial focus will be on growing Toronto’s startup economy. OurCrowd was founded in 2012 by Medved and its headquarters are located in Jerusalem.

SimpliVity Raises $175M At $1B Valuation
March 11, 2015 | The data center hardware components provider SimpliVity announced that it raised new funds to the tune of $175 million. The funds give the company an estimated valuation of $1 billion. SimpliVity’s technology provides companies with the option to run various applications on physical servers, reducing the amount of servers needed to run their systems. The company has some 300 customers including the Dairy Farmers of America, MLB Network, Swisscom, among others. SimpliVity was founded in 2009 by Doron Kempel.

German Gov’t Establishes Minerva Center At Bar Ilan U
March 10, 2015 | The German Government announced that it will commit €450,000 ($482,755) towards the new Minerva Center located at Bar Ilan University. The Minerva Center will commemorate 50 years of diplomatic relations between Israel and Germany, entitled “The Minerva Center for the Relations between Israel and Aram in Biblical Times: The Construct of Autonomous Decision Making and Interdependencies.” The Minerva Center will receive funds for six years in which various Israeli-German meetings and joint activities will take place.

Fansino Takes First At Mobile World Congress
March 10, 2015 | First prize in the Mobile Premier Awards, awarded at the Mobile World Congress, was awarded to Israeli startup Fansino. The Israeli team won for developing an application that allows music fans to interact with musicians and other fans. In addition, the application, developed by Israelis Haran Yaffa and Omri Erez, allows fans to stay up-to-date on concert dates and encourages interaction over social networks. The winner of the Mobile Premier Awards in 2010 was Israeli crowdsourced navigation application Waze, and the award is one of the most important and distinguished for applications.

Report: Revizer Acquires Sterkly For $20M
March 10, 2015 | The Israeli company Revizer acquired American company Sterkly in a deal that is valued at $20 million, “Calcalist” reports. With the acquisition, Revizer, a company that creates revenue-generating opportunities for developers, is set to become one of the largest companies dealing with the placement of advertisements on the Internet. Sterkly is a software distribution and monetization company. Revizer was founded in 2009 and is headquartered in Jaffa.

JVP To Sell $115M In CyberArk Shares
March 10, 2015 | As CyberArk Software nears its secondary offering on Wall Street, the company’s largest shareholder, Jerusalem Venture Partners will sell its shares in the company worth $115 million and will maintain a 30 percent holding. In addition, Goldman Sachs will sell its shares for $53 million and have its stake in the company drop to 15 percent. CyberArk has adjusted its offering accordingly, filing a prospectus to raise $240 million by selling 4 million shares. CyberArk was founded in 1999 by Udi Mokady and is headquartered in Newton, Massachusetts.
