About Us
NoCamels was a world-leading news site covering breakthrough innovation and technology from
Israel for a global audience, active from 2011-2024. We covered cutting-edge developments in
the Israeli science and medical fields (biotech, medtech, foodtech, cancer research), profiled
innovative Israeli startups pioneering world-changing tech solutions in fintech, cybersecurity,
agtech, artificial intelligence, health, and more, and provided the latest in Israeli art and culture,
R&D, cleantech, and environment news.
Israel has the highest concentration of startups and research and development centers per capita
in the world, and the NoCamels team traveled across the country to report on these fascinating
inventions, as well as the people who stood behind them.
Based at the Sammy Ofer School of Communications of Reichman University in Herzliya,NoCamels was a non-profit academic endeavor sponsored by the Asper Foundation. The site
brought together talented young student journalists from Reichman University and partner
universities around the world, providing them with professional training and instruction.
At NoCamels, we believed in drawing attention to innovative solutions, not just the challenges
that so often made today’s news headlines. Every day we received messages from readers around
the globe who discovered a cure, a solution, or just some general inspiration on NoCamels.com.
We witnessed first-hand how objective and accurate reporting on these exciting innovations
could cross boundaries, religions, and even conflicts. This commitment to the utmost standards
of journalism defined our work.
However, due to funding constraints, we have paused our operations. While we are not currently
active, our website will remain accessible.
Thank you for being part of our journey and for supporting NoCamels over the years.
