March 11, 2015 | The Israeli startup Yallo closed a $4 million Series A round. The investment round was led by Carmel Ventures and as part of the deal, Carmel Venture’s co-founder Shlomo Dovrat, will join Yallo’s board of directors. Yallo’s platform hopes to revolutionize cell phone call capabilities as we know them with a number of new features that will allow users to record calls, minimize the use of minutes, and transcribe voice mails, among other functions. Yallo was founded in 2012 by CEO Tal Elyashiv and CTO Yosi Taguri.
