Israeli startup TinyTap launched a new iPad app aimed at strengthening the bond between parents and children. The TinyTap platform allows parents to create individualized games and activities for their children, using things like personal photos and voice recordings.

The introduction of the tablet computer has brought with it many new ways of assisting people who have difficulty interacting with available means. A joint Israeli-Singaporean project aims to utilize the iPad in order to help autistic children with their everyday lives.

Leading experts gathered in Israel to discuss, among others, the effects of technology on autistic children. Researchers from Haifa have been part of a team that creates games and puzzles, which encourages autistic children to interact socially.

Thanks to a technology developed in Israel, relatives will be able to view coronary catheterization of their loved ones on their iPads in real time and in high resolution. “This is the beginning of a new medical era,” said Prof. Ran Kornowsky, who initiated the project.
