Israel's auto tech industry is thriving and startups in this sector are regularly striking up new partnerships, forming strategic alliances, and grabbing the attention of high-profile investors and even buyers.

China Southern Power Grid and Better Place, the Israeli provider of global electric car networks, announced the opening of their Switchable Electric Car Experience Center in CHina's Guangzhou’s province. The center will demonstrate the technology behind Better Place's "battery swap stations" for electric cars.

Four years after Israeli entrepreneur Shai Agassi founded Better Place with the aim of reducing global dependency on oil, Israel will become, along with Denmark, the first country in which the rechargeable, zero emission vehicles will be sold commercially.
