Rafael Museri of Israeli hospitality startup Selina and Or Bokobza of urban tech startup Venn were among the entrepreneurs honored at the Builders + Innovators Summit in Santa Barbara this month.

The Israeli-founded company teamed up with local partners to acquire a $40 million portfolio of hotels to kick off its UK expansion.

Selina combines affordable accommodation, co-working spaces, fine dining, wellness, volunteering initiatives, travel and adventure in 46 locations in 13 countries.

With a new $95 million dollar investment, Selina, already an established player in Latin America, is looking to bring its unique brand of lodging and community living to the US, Europe, and Israel.
