There are already more than 10 medical cannabis farms and five factories in Israel that meet all the standards and requirements set by the Health Ministry.

The decision, after at least a year of wrangling, paves the way for Israel to become a leading medical cannabis exporter and participant in a thriving sector that is expected to soar to $33 billion by 2022.
