Advanced Inhalation Therapies Ltd. (AIT) has announced the completion of a successful financing round, in which it has raised $1.25 million. AIT is developing nitric oxide based treatments for infectious lung diseases. The company says the funds will be used for two clinical trials.

American telecommunication giant AT&T is implementing a novel way of simplifying its costumers’ account statements. The company is using Israeli company SundaySky‘s automatic video creation tool to send video invoices to its clients. The company reports that the new technology has resulted in a significant drop in calls to customer support to clarify account statements.

Israeli company Elbit Systems Ltd. has won a contract to provide Italian satellite OPSAT 3000’s space camera. The deal, worth $40 million will be completed within three and a half years and will be carried out by Elbit’s subsidiary Elbit Systems Electro-Optics Elop Ltd.

Israeli game developer Funtactix has won American Variety magazine’s Entertainment App Award. The award was granted for the company’s “Hunger Games” game, which is based on the teen blockbuster movie. The award was granted in the category “Best Entertainment IP-based Mobile Game”.

Israeli company BioControl Medical, which develops implant for treating complex medical conditions, has reported positive results on its FitNeS treatment trial. The device was implanted in five patients, all of which shown a reduction of up to 50 percent in seizures and no side effects.

Objet, an Israeli company which develops 3D printing technology, has merged with American company Stratasys, to form a $3 billion company that will be incorporated in Israel. In the merger, Objet is valued to be worth $1.4 Billion and will account for 45 percent of the merged company’s worth.

Magenta Medical, an Israeli company which develops innovative hear failure treatments, has raised $4 million, in a financing round led by Pitango Ventures. The investment by Pitango, who has invested in tech companies LiveU and Skycure, is the first in the field of life sciences.

Israeli game Disky, developed by Playful Shark, Untame Games and developers Gil Naamati and Idan Miller, has won first place in the Best Mobile Project category in the Game Connection contest held in Paris. The developers have won prize money of 15,000 euro, which will be directed towards development and marketing.

American storage technology giant EMC has acquired Israeli company More IT. The Israeli company specializes in database and big data performance and monitoring. Although the official sum paid by EMC has not been disclosed, the deal is estimated to worth between $10-20 million.

Israeli electronics company Tel Ad has been acquired by American company Amphenol for $60 million. The Israeli company, which manufactures, imports and distributes electronic components, will keep its offices in Kfar Sava under the Amphenol name and its 200 employees will be re-hired by Amphenol.

Israeli investment firm Capital Nature and Chinese solar power giant Suntech Power Holdings have jointly launched a new test site for solar energy panels at Kibbutz Yotvata, located in southern Israel. The test site is part of the team’s National Technology and Renewable Energy Center in Yotvata.

Odyssey Moon, the American team competing in Google’s contest of landing an unmanned civilian vehicle on the moon, has decided to remove itself from the competition and team up with Israeli contestant SpaceIL. The team is one of 24 teams from around the world who aim to land the vehicle on the moon, navigate it for 500 meter and transmit real-time images of the moon’s surface.

Israeli company Retalix, which provides point-of-sale software and services, has been acquired by global payment and retail technology giant NCR. NCR will pay approx. $650 million in cash for the acquisition.

Israeli company Everything.me, which enables smart search from mobile devices, has announced that it has raised $25 million. The investment was led by Telefonica Digital and Mozilla. According to the official press release, the Israeli-based company will use the funding to expand its team and drive Everything.me’s ongoing development.
