Wix Returns To The Super Bowl With Ad Featuring Karlie Kloss

Israeli website-building platform Wix announced on Saturday its return to the Super Bowl LIII, set to take place on Sunday February 3 in the Mercedez-Benz stadium in Atlanta, with an ad featuring model and entrepreneur Karlie Kloss. This will mark the company’s fifth year as an advertiser during the big game.

Wix has developed a cloud-based development platform that enables businesses, organizations, professionals and individuals to take their businesses and brands online. The company says it currently serves over 146 million registered users worldwide.

The Super Bowl ad will consist in a 30-second spot with Kloss, which will run in the third quarter of the game. The ad, first released in October, will feature Kloss updating her website, highlighting some of the features including the Wix Pro Gallery, for professional image display, and the SEO Wiz which provides Wix users with a step-by-step guide to optimize their sites for search engines.

Kloss, an internationally known model, is also an entrepreneur and the founder of Kode With Klossy, an organization that creates learning opportunities for young women in tech. She married Joshua Kushner, younger brother of Jared Kushner, US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law, in a small ceremony in Upstate New York in October 2018.

“We love the impact, the excitement and the wide reach of the Super Bowl and it continues to resonate with our audience,” said Wix CMO Omer Shai in a statement.

“Our campaigns are always a mixture of product, personality and a narrative for our customers. Our vision works across channels so it was easy to take our digital creative and optimize it for the Big Game. We are thrilled to be back for the Super Bowl once again,” he added.

Wix was founded in 2006 by Avishai Abrahami, Nadav Abrahami, and Giora Kaplan. The company has run ad campaigns using recognizable celebs like Israeli actress Gal Gadot and Hollywood star Jason Statham. Headquartered in Tel Aviv, the company has offices in Beersheba, Berlin, Dnipro, Dublin, Kiev, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, San Francisco, São Paulo, and Vilnius.
