September 18, 2014 | The web protection company Sentrix announced that it raised $6 million in funding from Magma Venture Partners, Cedar Fund, the Chief Scientist of Israel and board members. The company plans to use the funds to redefine its website security to better protect its client websites against rapidly evolving Internet threats and to open an office in Boston, Massachusetts. Sentrix provides cloud-based, content-aware security solutions to websites, protecting them against data breaches and known and unknown cyber attacks. The company’s technology is considered breakthrough in that it is able to protect against known and unknown attacks as well as reducing the complexity and the amount of time its takes to identify a threat. Sentrix was founded by cyber security experts Israel Barak and CTO Nimrod Luria.
