Israeli rescue organization United Hatzalah is launching a new cloud-based response platform developed by Carbyne, an Israeli startup that designs call systems for emergency services.
Carbyne’s APEX emergency response solution gives United Hatzalah advanced technological capabilities that allow for reliable and uninterrupted operations.
United Hatzalah dispatch teams will use the AI-based platform to enable live video transmission from a caller, receive photos from the scene of an incident in real time, identify a caller’s precise location and even manage text-based chat when conversation is not possible.
The caller will be able to use these features without having to download an app by clicking a link sent to their phones from the call center.
“As part of the lessons learned since October 7, we are significantly improving our emergency response capabilities and changing the rules of the game in life-saving,” said Dov Maisel, VP of Operations at United Hatzalah.
“Moving to the cloud with Carbyne’s APEX ensures faster and more efficient response, increases the chances of saving lives, and provides a greater sense of security to the community,” he said.
“We appreciate United Hatzalah’s management for its commitment to providing its thousands of employees and volunteers with a modern, efficient, and reliable work environment, and beyond that – for its commitment to providing the public it serves with a faster and better response in emergency situations,” said Carbyne founder and CEO Amir Elichai.
“Carbyne is committed to providing the emergency and rescue world with innovative communication solutions that revolutionize the way centers operate to save lives,” he said.
