The Volcani International Partnerships, the NGO working alongside the Volcani Center, Israel’s agriculture research institute, has opened its applications for its scholarships for the academic year starting in fall 2024.
The Rishon Letzion-based institute takes several hundred students at undergraduate, graduate and doctorate levels every year, allowing them to work with their professional staff as part of their studies.
The variety of scholarship schemes have grants ranging from several thousand to tens of thousands of shekels. Some are designed for students from different sectors and others for those studying in particular fields.
“To ensure we remain at the forefront of agricultural innovation it is critical to continually invest in our next generation,” says Ellen Steel, Director of Programs at Volcani International Partnerships.
“That is why we are so proud to run this scholarship program for students undertaking research at the Volcani Center.”
Volcani places a heavy emphasis on studies and research, and also has mentoring schemes in place for every student of life sciences at every institute of higher education in Israel.
It also works with agriculturalists in different parts of the world, including the idle East, Africa and the Caribbean.
