A leading Israeli defense company has signed a contract with a South Korean counterpart to provide an anti-jamming platform for aircraft.
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), which develops technology for military, cyber, and homeland security, has signed an agreement with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) to enhance the Korean Light Armed Helicopter by integrating the IAI Adaptive Defense Antenna (ADA) system.
The ADA system is designed to neutralize interference from multiple jammers simultaneously. The system, which has been in operation for more than two decades, has a proven record of employing a range of effective jamming techniques.
The Israeli-Korean contract includes installation, testing, and airworthiness certification.
Seoul decided in 2017 to use the ADA system across the Korean Air Force, Navy, and Army.
“The recent transactions by IAI serve as a testament to the company’s impactful collaborations on the global stage, underscoring the trust that nations worldwide place in IAI’s innovative solutions, positioned at the forefront of technology,” said IAI President and CEO Boaz Levy.
“With the capability to suppress interferences from multiple jammers in various directions, the ADA system exemplifies our dedication to ensuring the utmost reliability and security in critical defense applications,” he said.
