CropX Partners With FarmAgro To Provide Crop Management Analytics For Central American Farmers
Israeli agritech analytics company CropX announced Tuesday a partnership with FarmAgro, a leader in the commercialization of agroforestry equipment in Costa Rica, to help Latin American farmers become more efficient and profitable by offering innovative agritech solutions and precision agriculture tools based on the CropX farm management platform.
CropXx plans to expand its deployment across the Latin America and Caribbean region with the partnership. Through CropX’s irrigation management tools, FarmAgro will unlock data from farmers in the region to better understand the impact of climate change on the agriculture.
“Climatic variations across Central and Latin America are creating a new set of risks for farmers in the region. We are excited to collaborate with FarmAgro to help manage those risks and improve yields by increasing the penetration of our crop management tools in the entire Latin American market,” said John Vikupitz, president of CropX. “As we focus on our global expansion, CropX aims to become the leader in soil data science by delivering the only farm analytics platform with global deployments that offers integrated and accurate soil data gathered by an advanced, soil sensor network.”
The CropX platform integrates data from its proprietary soil sensors with comprehensive above-ground data layers like weather, satellite imagery, and crop models.
When deployment in Central America reaches critical mass, FarmAgro says it plans to expand CropX distribution to the entire Latin American region.
“Our world faces enormous challenges that include a changing climate and limited natural resources, but advances in agtech and artificial intelligence can help farmers adjust to changing demands. Because of this, we firmly believe that our partnership with CropX will revolutionize agriculture in Latin America,” said Cindy González, strategy and marketing manager at FarmAgro.
Founded in 2013, CropX is an agtech analytics company developing cloud-based software solutions integrated with wireless sensors for better crop yield and agricultural output.
