February 25, 2016 | Israeli cyber security startup, SCADAfence announced yesterday evening an alliance with Check Point Software Technologies to provide comprehensive cyber security to manufactures, which rely on IT and operational technology (OT), such as controllers and switches to operate machinery. “We are excited to join forces with Check Point to provide manufacturers with a holistic solution that effectively protects IT/OT environments,” said Yoni Shohet, Co-founder and CEO of SCADAfence. “Together, we have developed a platform that strikes the perfect balance between security and availability by ensuring operational continuity while maximizing the pace of manufacturing.” This collaboration mitigates the inherent risks for manufacturers, such as operational downtime, process manipulation and theft of intellectual property, which can come with connecting OT networks with traditional IT networks in the pharmaceutical, chemical, automotive and food & beverage industries. SCADAfence has received seed funding from Jerusalem Venture Partners, and is run out of the VC’s Beer Sheva office.
