January 5, 2015 | Tmura – The Israeli Public Service Venture Fund raised $2 million in 2015, bringing the total amount raised to $12.8 million. Founded by veteran VCs in 2002, Tmura (the Hebrew word for change) is a social impact investment fund, which raises money through equity donations from high-tech startups. When these companies are acquired or go public, the shares are cashed and the proceeds go to education and youth charities that Tmura supports. Last year, Tmura received capital from the IPOs of CyberArk and ReWalk Robotics (the IPOs were in 2014, but the capital was realized in 2015), as well as from the acquisitions of Panoramic Power, Panaya, Checkmarxs, eXelate, BillGuard and WatchDox.
