October 12, 2015 | Shmuel ‘Mooly’ Eden, the former president of Intel Israel, has been appointed chief adviser on innovation and technology at Bank Hapoalim. Eden will serve as an external consultant, advising the Israeli bank on its technological strategy. Bank Hapoalim seeks to boost its presence in FinTech, and Eden, who previously ran Intel’s PC Client Group, a division turning over $32 billion annually, told Globles that “by creating a suitable eco-system, Israel could become a global FinTech center.” In 2012, Forbes magazine named Eden among the world’s ten most brilliant minds in technology and innovation.
