September 2, 2015 | PayPal announced a new service for peer-to-peer payments, as well as a premium payment service called PayPal.Me. The peer-to-peer payment service will allow users to create their own URL for payments and to share it through social media channels. The service was developed in Israel with the goal of competing with Venmo. PayPal was founded in 1998 and has a research and development office in Israel.
