August 2, 2015 | The solar power station at Ashelim signed a NIS 100 million ($26.4 million) agreement with Rioglass Solar Systems for the purchase of thermo-solar receivers. The massive solar power plant, which will provide 110 megawatts of power, is owned by Shikun and Binui Holdings together with the Spanish company Abengoa. Rioglass’s technology works by heat liquid with the sun to a temperature of 400 degrees Celsius, then converting the resulting steam into electricity to be distributed by the power grid.
