Annual Wikimedia Hackathon To Take Place In Jerusalem

August 24, 2015 | The Wikimedia Foundation in Israel has been chosen by the global branch of the organization to produce and manage the annual hackathon event. The hackathon event, in which 200 developers, programmers, systems managers and tech fans come together to develop new parts of Media Wiki that powers Wikipedia, will take place in Jerusalem in March-April 2016. A number of leading figures in the Wikimedia Foundation are also slated to attend the event next year.
