July 20, 2015 | The Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel was ranked tenth in the world in an international research ranking. Conducted by the Centre for Science and Technology Studies of Leiden University in the Netherlands, the Weizmann Institute is the only institution in the top ten that is located outside of the United States. The ranking is based on numbers, including publishing statistics, citation data within papers, as well as weights for the size of the research institution. Weizmann has steadily risen in the ranking, from 19th place in 2006 to 10th place in 2015.
