July 7, 2015 | The Israeli Ministry of the Economy announced that it met with the Chinese Ambassador to Israel Mr. Zhan Yongxin to discuss establishing a free trade zone between Israel and China. Minister of the Economy Arie Dery met with the Ambassador on Monday to discuss the establishment of a free trade zone, among other issues. Both sides stressed their desire to strengthen the economic ties between China and Israel, namely through Chinese investment in the country. The Ministry of the Economy and the Foreign Trade Administration operate from five attaches in China: two in Beijing, one and Guangzhou, one in Shanghai and one in Hong Kong.
