June 10, 2015 | The Technion Israel Institute of Technology announced that it has received a grant from Grade Challenges Explorations, part of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, that asks people around the would to test out revolutionary ideas. The grant was bestowed on university professor Hossam Haick who is currently researching a patch detection method for tuberculosis. The Grand Challenges Explorations was established as part of the Gates Foundation in 2008 and has supported a total of 1,100 projects in 60 countries.
