November 12, 2014 | The social marketing app for small businesses Wannabiz raised $2.2 million in a recent financing round and released a version of their platform for Android. The funding round was led Firstime Ventures, TheTime, along with investors Ilan Shiloach and Zohar Gilon. The company, which calls its service a “free marketing consultant in your pocket,” was released in its beta version last year for iOS, allowing small business owners to control all of their social marketing tools. Wannabiz uses an algorithm to determine which actions business owners should take to best promote their venture, based on previous actions, location and other factors. Wannabiz was co-founded by CEO Tamar Shor.
