November 13, 2014 | According to reports by “Calcalist,” the young Israeli cyber security company Aorato has been acquired by Microsoft for $200 million. Aorato has raised over $11 million since its founding in 2011 by CEO Idan Plotnik, Ohad Plotnik and Michael Dolinsky. Aorato has developed a product called Directory Services Application Firewall that protects Active Directory and secure organizations against advanced cyber security threats. This past July, Aorato joined Microsoft’s information security venture, allowing the company to collect even more data on potential breaches in Microsoft’s systems, information which is used by the company to improve their cyber security product.
