August 14, 2014 | The online car buying and selling platform that launched this spring Beepi is in talks to raise nearly $50 million in venture capital. The company hopes to raise funds at a $200 million valuation, according to a source involved in the talks. After Beepi launched its online automobile marketplace in April, the company raised $5 million in a funding round led by Redpoint Ventures. Beepi’s website allows car owners to enter the basic information about the vehicle they want to sell, then providing a quote that the site promises is always higher than the dealer’s trade-in prices.
