February 4, 2014 | Israeli company Given Imaging (recently acquired by Covidien), which develops pills mounted with tiny cameras to replace colonoscopies, has announced that one of its products has won FDA approval. The product, PillCam Colon, is used to detect colon polyps, if an optical colonoscopy proves incomplete.
