Israeli company Kaiima, which develops strains of plants that are more resilient and yield more crop is in the process of raising more than $60 million. A major investor was The World Bank’s investment branch IFC, which contributed $20 million. Another major investor is Chinese billionaire Li Ka-shing’s Horizon Ventures.
