Israeli startup Cortica, which visually indexes the web, has raised $6.4 million in a Series B financing round. The round was led by Horizons Ventures, with participation from Mail.ru Group and other angel investors.
This brings the company’s total funding to $18 million. Cortica’s technology simulates the brain’s neuro-circuits in order to recognize patterns and enable computers to understand images with the highest degree of accuracy.
