‘RDD Pharma’ Raises $7.15M For Anal Drug Delivery

RDD Pharma, a developer of intra-anal drug delivery devices that deliver a drug to the anal canal, has raised $7.15 million in a financing round led by OrbiMed Advisors LLC. RDD Pharma was founded in 2009 at the Ofakim Hi-Tech Ventures incubator and is based in Ofakim, Israel. The company also develops a drug for the treatment spinal cord injury related fecal incontinence. RDD Pharma completed a proof of concept trial in healthy subjects in Israel and met with the FDA on the protocols for further clinical trials.
