Smartphone App ‘Viber’ Reaches 50M Users

Viber Media Inc. announced today that it has reached over 50 million users since its launch 13 months ago. The company developed a mobile app for smartphones that allows its users to make phone calls and send text messages for free. Viber users are making over a billion minutes worth of calls and sending nearly a billion text messages per month, the company says.
