Saffron Tech has established a NIS 1.5 million ($440,000) R&D center in Moshav Mavki’im, to cultivate saffron spice at non-commercial levels. 

The food tech company, a subsidiary of Seedo Corporation, will use the funds to expand its facilities to grow saffron for commercial use.
