Researchers at Tel Aviv University say they have developed technology to engineer any type of tissue for transplantation from patients' own biomaterials and cells, greatly reducing the risk of rejection.

Five ongoing research projects focusing on regenerative medicine will receive funding from both the Israeli and the British government. The project is part of BIRAX, a scientific collaboration between the British and Israeli government, which began in 2008.
