Israel's ElectReon enters the US market through a bid won to build a wireless charging road in Detroit, Michigan.

While smartphone technology continuously progesses, batteries hardly have. Now, an Israeli company has created the technology to manufacture phones that can charge in half a minute. Not only that, their technology is based on organic and eco-friendly materials.

While the technology of smartphones keeps becoming more advanced, charging technology is still lagging behind. Israeli startup Wi-Charge has created the technology to charge phones and other devices without a charger, using focused infrared light.

Powermat, the company that provides wireless charging mats, announced their joint venture with battery giant Duracell. International superstar Jay-Z also joined the company as a spokesperson and investor.
