Technion scientists say they have successfully shrunk cancerous tumors in mice by manipulating the brain’s reward system, which caused a reaction in the immune system.

Israeli researchers found that stimulating the brain using magnetic currents can lead to a significant reduction in the urge to smoke. After undergoing treatment with a device that stimulates the nervous system in the brain, 40 percent of participants in the study stopped smoking.
