Israeli-founded software-as-a-service mobile marketing analytics and attribution platform AppsFlyer announced on Tuesday it has raised $210 million in a Series D funding round led by New York-based global growth equity firm General Atlantic.
This puts the company, already an Israeli unicorn, at a $1.6 billion valuation.
Existing investors Qumra Capital, Goldman Sachs Growth, Deutsche Telekom Capital Partners (DTCP), Pitango Venture Capital, and Magma Venture Partners also participated in the round.
Alex Crisses, managing director at General Atlantic and Anton Levy, co-president and global head of technology, have joined AppsFlyer’s board of directors.
Founded in 2011 by Oren Kaniel and Reshef Mann, AppsFlyer is a mobile attribution and marketing analytics firm headquartered in San Francisco and Herzliya with offices in the US, Europe, Latin America, and Asia. The company develops software products that help marketers and developers measure and analyze ad spending and maximize marketing investments.
AppsFlyer’s platforms are integrated with major social media companies such as Facebook, Google, Twitter, Pinterest, and Snap and its clients include major companies like HBO, Waze, and Alibaba. AppsFlyer says it works with over 12,000 brands worldwide.
This Series D investment comes three years after AppsFlyer’s Series C funding round, bringing the company’s total funding to $294 million.
Since its previous round, the company has grown its team four times over to 850 employees throughout 18 global offices.
The company’s annual recurring revenue exceeded $150 million in 2019, according to a statement.
“As a market leader, we are proud and humbled to know that AppsFlyer’s platform is used daily by many marketing teams around the world,” said Oren Kaniel, CEO and co-founder at AppsFlyer. “This new round enables us to double down on our mission to empower marketers with the tools needed to catapult their success and make accurate, better-informed, strategic decisions, as well as help drive innovation and transparency across our industry.”
In August 2019, AppsFlyer was named among WIRED UK’s 10 “hottest startups” from Tel Aviv (and Israel generally).
