August 26, 2015 | The community home design platform Houzz announced that it has acquired GardenWeb, a garden and home community website, from NBCUniversal. The acquisition amount was not disclosed. GardenWeb is an iVillage website and was acquired by NBC in 2006. Houzz has already begun to introduce GardenWeb’s content on its website. Houzz has raised $213.6 million in four rounds of funding. Houzz was founded in 2009 by Alon Cohen and Adi Tatarko.
