April 30, 2015 | Amdocs has confirmed that it will acquire the business support systems (BSS) unit of Comverse for $272 million in cash. Amdocs asserts that the acquisition will allow the billing services provider to expand is global reach into Asia, Latin America and Europe. Comverse, however, is in the process of divesting its assets. Both Amdocs and Comverse are Israeli-founded companies, though Amdocs is now based out of the United States.
