Israeli military technology company Elbit Systems says it has been awarded a contract worth approximately $270 million to supply rocket artillery to an international customer.
The buyer of the artillery was not announced. The contract will be carried out over a period of four years.
“This contract reaffirms Elbit Systems’ position as a leading provider of advanced artillery solutions, enhancing the operational capabilities of our clients with cutting-edge technologies,” said Bezhalel (Butzi) Machlis, President and CEO of Elbit Systems.
The Haifa-based company, which has almost 20,000 personnel working across five continents, says its products allow its clients around the world “to address rapidly evolving battlefield challenges and overcome threats.”
In June, Elbit was contracted by Israel’s Ministry of Defense to supply its Iron Sting laser and GPS-guided mortar munition.
The $190 million contract was to be carried out over a two-year period, Elbit said.
