The city of Arlington in Texas has selected Israeli startup NoTraffic to implement its leading traffic management system on its roads.
Through the use of its smart technology and artificial intelligence system, NoTraffic allows urban areas to control the ebb and flow of vehicles on demand, cutting down the amount of time drivers spend stuck in jams and turning the roads into what a NoTraffic executive called a giant “game of chess.”
The platform is already in use in multiple locations across the United States, including California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania and other places in Texas.
The company was also recognized as one of the TIME100 Most Influential Companies in 2022.
“Arlington has always been at the forefront of embracing groundbreaking technologies to enhance the quality of life for our residents. NoTraffic’s system expansion aligns with our broader goals of creating a smart and efficient transportation network that caters to the needs of residents,” said Arlington Mayor Jim Ross.
“By reducing traffic congestion and carbon emissions, we are not just improving daily commutes but also contributing to a sustainable and eco-friendly future for our city.”
“We are thrilled to see Arlington embrace our traffic management solution. The decision to extend the implementation to more intersections highlights the positive impact our system has had on the city’s transportation infrastructure,” said NoTraffic CEO and co-founder Tal Kreisler.
“At NoTraffic, we are committed to creating innovative, future-proof solutions that address the evolving needs of Arlington and many additional municipalities within the DFW Metroplex and across the State of Texas.”
