Israeli startup Belong.Life has unveiled a new AI-driven app for cancer patients and caregivers that offers round-the-clock, personalized support.
Created by the son of an oncology patient, Belong.Life previously built an entire social media platform around the specific needs of people undergoing cancer treatment – and their loved ones – to help navigate through this stressful time.
The startup says its new standalone platform, BelongAIDave – Cancer Mentor, is a “significant step forward” in personalized cancer support. It follows the 2023 release of virtual AI mentor Dave, which was trained through machine learning using massive amounts of data about the disease.
The release of the new version of the app, Belong.Life says, is down to patient demand for AI support and the massive praise for Dave from patients and medical professionals.
“Our vision is to provide every patient with the highest level of care. Proximity to the hospital or bank account size shouldn’t determine priority for answering patients’ questions or attending to patient’s needs,” said Eliran Malki, co-founder and CEO of Belong.Life.
“The BelongAI Dave – Cancer Mentor app will allow us to make personalized cancer support accessible and affordable to all, for the fraction of the cost of traditional mentorship services, at the price of a few cups of coffee.”
