It is given out annually by the Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS). Funtactix won the Webby in the “Best Social Game” category, for its online rendition of the movie Hunger Games.
The Academy was founded by Guy Kawasaki, and judges include such high-profile players such as Richard Branson, Ariana Huffington, Oracle CEO Larry Ellison, Jerry Greenfield (Jerry of Ben and Jerry’s), Simpson’s creator Matt Groening, and others.
