A non-profit organization based in Nazareth has launched a new campaign to promote unity among Jews and Arabs working in Israel’s high-tech sector.
The campaign led by Tsofen, which promotes Arab Israeli inclusion in the sector, includes images of Arabs and Jews together, under the slogan “working together – right now we are making a voice of partnership.”
High-tech companies Intuit, Hailo and Sanofi have already joined the campaign, photographing their workers together with the slogan.
Tsofen, whose partners include Microsoft and Intel, says the campaign aims to promote fellowship in the workplace, and highlights the importance of workplaces as everyday meeting points for members of the two communities.
The organization says that the importance of unity is even greater since October 7, when terrorists from Hamas stormed into Israel from Gaza. The ensuing massacre of 1,200 people and abduction of hundreds more in southern Israel triggered the ongoing war.
“The challenging period we’ve been experiencing since October 7 emphasizes our collective duty to address the issue,” said Tsofen’s CEO Maisam Jaljuli.
“It warms the heart to see those companies that have already mobilized to take part in an event that deepens the interpersonal and social discourse and contributes to the tightening of the human fabric in the organization.”
