Israeli generative AI video company D-ID has unveiled a new platform that allows businesses to create a virtual assistant on their websites without having to add code.
D-ID Agents lets businesses provide tailored online interactions with their customers by giving them the ability to create assistants of different ages, genders and ethnicities, which can speak in multiple languages.
The AI-powered virtual assistants can be used by businesses to sell, support and teach on websites, presentations and apps.
The knowledge base that the assistants have is based on each individual company’s data, and their interactions will be built using a large language model – a type of artificial intelligence that can generate human-like text.
The product is also powered by D-ID’s new Natural User Interface (NUI), which enables users to communicate with the virtual assistants through face-to-face conversations on smart devices of all kinds.
“Digital technology has become increasingly powerful, but our capacity to extract value from it is often limited by how we interact with it,” said Gil Perry, CEO and co-founder of D-ID.
“The NUI platform is changing this by enabling companies to develop interfaces that facilitate natural, face-to-face conversations with customers,” he said.
“These interfaces understand and earn the trust of the user, without any typing or clicking. They will adapt and evolve along with businesses and the digital landscape,” said Perry.
“This advancement powers D-ID’s Agents, allowing them to respond intelligently to customer questions and provide personalized advice, meeting the customers’ need for prompt and effective interaction.”
