Cyber Startup Chosen To Secure Upcoming Tel Aviv Light Rail Line 

An Israeli startup’s AI-driven cybersecurity solution has been chosen to secure a major line of the Tel Aviv light rail, which is currently under construction and will span 27 kilometers across the metropolitan area.

Cervello has developed a cybersecurity dashboard that gives rail operators real-time intelligence, by using advanced analytics to detect threats and monitor and analyze railway signaling.  

It was chosen by Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles (CAF), the Spanish company that is designing and implementing the Purple Line, which aims to efficiently connect six major Israeli cities and improve the civilians’ quality of life. 

The cybersecurity solution will ensure the safety of the line’s 43 stations and estimated 256,000 daily passengers, upon its completion in 2027 at an estimated cost of 11 billion shekels ($3 billion).
