Israeli startup Seal Security, which helps organizations protect open source vulnerabilities, has been named winner and leading provider in the Application Security category at the 2023 CISO Choice Awards.
The awards are judged by a panel of leading chief information security officers (CISOs) from top international organizations. The Application Security category honors security solution providers deemed to deliver exceptional services that the judges and their companies believe are essential.
The Seal Security platform allows developers to simplify and automate the process of patching open source vulnerabilities. These patches can be applied independently from a regular update process.
The platform is currently in an open beta stage and is being tested by several organizations, including a leading cybersecurity firm and a Fortune 100 company.
“I would like to congratulate Seal Security for winning the 2023 CISO Choice Awards Application Security Category. The field was exceptionally competitive this year, and our esteemed CISO Board of Judges was very impressed by the level of innovation that solution providers put forth to safeguard our organizations,” said David Cass, CISOs Connect and Security Current President, and Global CISO at GSR.
“Open source software has brought about mass innovation, but unpatched vulnerabilities threaten future adoption and the overall security of an organization,” said Seal Security CEO and co-founder Itamar Sher.
“We built Seal Security to streamline and accelerate vulnerability remediation in order to reduce open source risk and elevate the organization’s security posture.”
