Israeli telehealth startup TytoCare has announced it has raised $49 million in funding for further growth.
TytoCare says its Home Smart Clinic is the only virtual care platform that can replicate a doctor’s surgery at the patient’s home. The platform is a combination of an FDA-cleared handheld remote examination device and artificial intelligence diagnosis.
The startup has now raised a total of $205 million. Like the previous one, the latest funding round was led by Insight Partners, a global software investor, along with Californian healthcare system MemorialCare and Israeli and Canadian pension funds.
TytoCare says it will use the new funding to further develop AI diagnostic support and remote exam assistance. It will also be used to help better manage chronic conditions.
“As TytoCare continues to grow, we hope to help more people experience clinic-quality care from home, and help unlock the potential of remote care,” said TytoCare CEO and co-founder Dedi Gilad.
Founded in 2012, the startup works with more than 200 healthcare providers in the US, Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
