A new startup that accelerates software development has emerged from stealth with $8.5 million in seed funding.
Redefine.dev uses AI to identify and predict the most relevant tests for each new code change, minimizing feedback time for developers by over 90 percent.
It functions as a SAAS (Software-as-a-Service) model, and already has partnerships with global companies including Intel, Claroty, Salesforce and PAGAYA.
“AI-based solutions are increasingly adopted, and it’s inevitable that software development and advanced automation will follow suit,” said Lior Neuman, CEO of Redefine.
“Our solution optimizes processes, shortens running times, and saves machine costs while improving developers’ experience.”
The startup was founded in 2022 by Neuman, a former R&D officer in Unit 8200, the elite Israeli Intelligence Corp unit of the Israel Defense Forces.
Redefine has a team of 25 employees in Tel Aviv and plans to use the seed funding for personnel recruitment and acceleration of development.
The investment was led by industry leaders including Nitzan Kapira and Ran Rabenzaft (founders of Epsagon), Efrat Rapoport (director of Salesforce Israel), Assaf Ezra (founder of Granolite), Simon Peryman (former VP of Development at Twitch), and Farhan Tawar (VP of Development at Shopify).
