New technology developed in Israel allows podcasters to edit their audio and video more easily – direct from a transcript.
Tel Aviv-based Riverside says its groundbreaking technology speeds the process for creators, who can edit text much more quickly than a recording.
The company says it can even work with poor quality internet connectivity to create high-quality audio and video recordings, which will always be smooth and freeze-free.
It continuously and automatically uploads audio and video during recording to the cloud so it can be downloaded in seconds. It can also generate accurate transcriptions in over 100 languages.
Netflix, Marvel, and Microsoft use Riverside to produce podcasts, video interviews, marketing videos, virtual conferences and internal communications.
And American actress Kerry Washington used it to record an episode of her podcast, Street You Grew Up On, with former First Lady Michelle Obama.
“By streamlining the work of recording, editing, and sharing conversations in a single place, we’re empowering our users to focus on what truly matters: producing high-quality content that resonates with their audience,” said Nadav Keyson, CEO of Riverside. He and his brother Gideon, both immigrants from the Netherlands, founded the company together.
The company was founded in 2019, and has raised $47 million to date.
