New $107M Tank Training Centers For The IDF

Defense giant Elbit Systems will provide new simulation and training centers for Israel’s tank commanders and soldiers in a new $107 million deal.

It has developed software that simulates a tank’s weapon capabilities, and includes hyper-realistic turrets and drivers.

Haifa-based Elbit, with an annual revenue of almost $5.5 billion, aims to provide tank crews with realistic simulations of battlefield challenges, testing their operational intelligence, combat support, and logistic units, in a range of combat scenarios.

Elbit’s training and simulation technological solutions have already been selected by the US, UK, Greece, The Netherlands, Poland and other countries.

The training centers should be ready in three years in a contract that includes operation and maintenance services for an additional 15 years.
